Designed from an empty shell, Moon Shadow is a truly unique space where different textures combine with mirrors, carefully selected lighting and different works of art to give it an exceptional finish.

A cosy Cornish hideaway

The whole cottage has been fitted with underfloor heating, so no ugly radiators to worry about, and since the cottage has been complete re-insulated and soundproofed, you can rest assured this is one of the most private and spectacular properties in Cornwall.

Split over two levels, Moon Shadow has been fitted with plenty of home comforts and more. Mix yourself a drink in the L-shaped kitchen (complete with compact larder and breakfast dining bar), then recline on the chesterfield sofa in the open-plan living space of the ground floor and warm up in front of the fire after a long walk on the beach.

Upstairs, you’ll find the whole space has been opened to the rafters with the bedroom area divided from the shower room by a built in wardrobe. The space feels surprisingly large for a cottage of this size with a fantastic 6ft super king bed, ample storage, a flat screen TV and a brilliant walk in shower area.

The magic of this space though is not the practicality, great as it is, but the style in which it is finished. The space has been meticulously thought out to maximize the compact size of the cottage.

About the area

Moon Shadow is located on Porthmeor Road immediately behind Porthmeor Beach on the Northern side of the town, an area known for its thriving artist community. Thirty seconds from stepping out the front door your feet can be in the sand! That said, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches in St Ives and if you fancy a change, a short 5 minute stroll through the cobbled streets will bring you to Bamaluz, Porthgwidden and the Harbour beach along with at least a dozen top quality restaurants, art galleries and craft shops.
