Luxury gay friendly travel guide– LES DEUX MESSIEURS – launches offering gay travellers candid but playful UK accommodation reviews written from a gay perspective.

A new, and rather different destination website – – has launched, aiming to inform and inspire discerning gay travellers holidaying in the UK.  Les Deux Messieurs is a compact gem of knowledge and sagacity that places wit and style at its heart as it reviews and rates places to stay, hunts out local stories and passes on recommendations.

It is the ultimate UK destination guide for gay travellers. And each review is written from a gay perspective.

Les Deux Messieurs offers candid but playful diary-style reviews of gay friendly accommodations around the UK and (soon) Ireland. All properties are carefully researched before being visited. Reviews are photo-led with a mix of professional and reviewer-captured shots, star-rated between one and five, and tagged according to wants that might tickle a traveller’s fancy. A weekend of decadence with your bit on the side perhaps, or a stay somewhere that’s good for food, or for culture, or for city life.

And that’s not all…

You’ll find an events and occasions calendar for helping you discover UK traditions, UK holidays and must see UK destinations (after all, there’s always a reason to get away), style tips (season-led packing suggestions), special offers when you book by concierge, and the usual social sharing options.

Every village, every town, every city has a story to tell – forgotten tales and hidden secrets that are unexpected; fun; fascinating. Like Birmingham – England’s second city – which once boasted more canal miles than Venice;  Tutankhamun’s connection with sleepy Swaffham in Norfolk; and why actress Prunella Scales had such a ‘thrilling’ time in Rye. Collecting these tales as they travel, Les Deux Messieurs show that there’s more to the UK than meets the eye. Find their collection of tales so far on their blog, The Travelling Mulberry.

Les Deux Messieurs are reviews you can trust, and as the travelling twosome continue their travels, you can expect ever greater stories and discover more of the best luxury places to stay in the UK. And, if you’re still not sure where to go – ask them. They’re on Twitter (@deuxmessieurs), they’re very friendly.

Have a look. Explore. Enjoy. A cocktail of contemporary style, bohemian splendour, ancestral intrigue and new experiences await the curious and the pleasure seeking gay travellers. Find it on les

Gay England and gay Britain, and the gay uk, for that matter, has a lot to offer for british holidays and uk destinations.

Notes to Editor

Les Deux Messieurs are well-travelled gay connoisseurs who believe that luxury accommodation is about more than flocking and scatter cushions, it’s an overall experience. Compiled and edited by two thirty-somethings , Les Deux Messieurs never tires, never wanes, just inspires and informs.

The Travelling Mulberry is Les Deux Messieurs’ blog and is so named after their trusty weekend bag, their Mulberry Piccadilly.
